Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate Dietary Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare high-quality, nutritious meals for our senior residents according to our pre-planned menus and health standards. This role requires someone who enjoys cooking in volume and interacts warmly with our residents.
Core Responsibilities:
Meal Preparation:
Cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for residents according to the daily menu and specific dietary needs.
Kitchen Safety:
Maintain safe food temperatures, clean work surfaces, and follow all health department regulations.
Inventory Control:
Help track food stock levels and report shortages to the dietary supervisor.
Kitchen Cleanliness:
Wash dishes, store cooking equipment properly, and deep clean kitchen areas as required.
Requirements & Physical Demands:
Experience:
1+ years of cooking experience in a restaurant, hospital, or senior living environment is preferred.
Certifications:
ServSafe or Food Handler certification is a major plus (or willing to obtain upon hire).
Physical Ability:
Must be able to stand for long periods, work in hot kitchen environments, and lift up to 30-50 lbs.
Flexibility:
Absolute reliability to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
