Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this vital role, you will assist in food preparation, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards for quality, safety, and presentation. Your energy and culinary skills will contribute to creating a seamless dining experience for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your kitchen expertise while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients according to recipes, including chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning food items with precision using knife skills and slicing techniques. Assist in assembling and plating dishes to ensure consistency and presentation standards are met. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, fryers, and food processors. Follow strict food safety management procedures to maintain cleanliness, proper food handling, and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen. Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients needed for daily specials or upcoming events. Maintain a clean work station by regularly cleaning utensils, equipment, and surfaces in accordance with safety standards in production. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service delivery. Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable. Food service or restaurant experience demonstrating knowledge of food preparation and safety standards. Familiarity with food industry practices such as recipe adherence, meal preparation, and catering experience. Strong understanding of kitchen safety standards and proper food handling techniques. Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff effectively.
