Duties Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations at all times Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish presentation and ingredient selection Handle food with care, ensuring proper food handling techniques are followed to prevent contamination Support food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients for service Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy service hours Follow all safety protocols, including knife skills and proper equipment usage, to maintain a safe kitchen environment Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings demonstrating culinary competence Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations preferred Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment Experience with food service or the food industry is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential
Pay:
