December 15, 2026 - April 30, 2027 JOB DUTIES Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, established procedures, and restaurant standards. Prepare ingredients and set up workstations with the necessary food products, utensils, and cooking equipment. Perform basic food preparation, including washing, cutting, chopping, measuring, portioning, and preparing ingredients for cooking. Operate standard commercial kitchen equipment, including grills, ovens, fryers, ranges, food processors, and other kitchen equipment. Cook menu items to the required specifications, temperatures, portions, and presentation standards. Follow recipes and food preparation procedures to ensure consistency and quality. Monitor food while cooking and make appropriate adjustments to cooking times and temperatures. Inspect food products for freshness and quality before use. Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized workstations and kitchen areas throughout the work shift. Follow all applicable food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene procedures. Stock, label, date, rotate, and properly store food products and supplies. Monitor product temperatures and storage conditions. Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing food and kitchen supplies as needed. Work efficiently with other kitchen employees and restaurant staff to ensure timely preparation and service of customer orders. Assist other kitchen staff with food preparation and other kitchen duties as needed. Clean and sanitize cooking equipment, utensils, preparation surfaces, and work areas at the end of shifts and as required during operations. Perform other related duties assigned by the kitchen manager or supervisor.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
No experience required. The employer will provide on-the-job training. No formal education requirement. Must be willing and able to learn food preparation, cooking methods, kitchen procedures, food safety, and sanitation practices. Must be able to follow recipes, instructions, and established food preparation procedures. Must be willing and able to learn the safe operation of commercial kitchen equipment.
