If so, we want you to join our team at Mt. Baker Care Center! We're seeking a talented, creative individual with culinary expertise to join the team in our skilled nursing facility's kitchen. As a Cook, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting flavorful, nutritious meals that meet the diverse dietary needs of our residents. If you're an enthusiastic, dedicated cook ready to make a real impact, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
What You'll Do:
Create Culinary Magic:
Plan, prep, and prepare a variety of fresh, tasty meals for our residents, keeping nutrition, dietary restrictions, and personal preferences in mind.
Get Creative:
Think outside the box to introduce new, exciting dishes and meal options that make every meal a memorable experience for our residents.
Maintain Excellence:
Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards while keeping everything organized and efficient.
Collaborate & Communicate:
Work closely with the dietitian, nursing team, and staff to ensure residents' dietary needs are met with personalized care and attention.
Mentor & Train:
Help develop and mentor kitchen staff, encouraging their culinary growth and fostering a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.
What We're Looking For:
Culinary Expertise:
Proven experience as a cook in a professional kitchen (previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting is a plus).
Creativity:
A passion for cooking and an ability to innovate, creating meals that are not only nutritious but also exciting and flavorful.
Leadership Skills:
Ability to lead a team, provide direction, and maintain a positive and productive kitchen environment. Attention to
Detail:
Strong focus on food presentation, nutritional guidelines, and sanitation standards.
Compassionate & Team-Oriented:
A genuine care for our residents and a team spirit that makes the kitchen a fun, collaborative environment.
