$18.00-$20.00 per hour • In person Job Summary The Sandbar is transitioning to counter service, and we're building a team to match. We're looking for a Cook & Counter Service Team Member who's just as comfortable on the line as they are greeting guests and running a register. You'll prepare and cook menu items to our quality standards, take orders accurately, and give every guest a warm, welcoming experience. If you like variety in your day and thrive in a fast-paced, team-first environment, we'd love to meet you. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Take customer orders at the counter, operate the register, and handle cash and card payments accurately Deliver friendly, attentive customer service and resolve guest questions or concerns with a positive attitude Maintain cleanliness and organization of both kitchen and front-counter areas, following food safety regulations at all times Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation Assist with product ordering and inventory as needed Support catering and busy service hours by preparing food efficiently and accurately Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house team members to keep service running smoothly Skills & Qualifications Experience in food preparation or cooking in a restaurant or food service setting Comfort taking orders, running a register, and handling cash accurately Strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor Solid knife skills and food prep technique Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting while staying accurate Good understanding of food safety and sanitation standards Effective communication with both kitchen and front-of-house teams Washington Food Worker Card a plus (or willingness to obtain one within your first weeks) Benefits Flexible schedule Paid time off Paid training Application Question(s) What type of items on the menu would you expect to see in a family-friendly pub?
