We need an experienced, organized, and customer-focused manager to oversee the daily operations of our art gallery, coffee bar and custom frame shop. The position combines gallery sales and organization, coffee shop operations, staff leadership, inventory management, relationship building, and business administration. The ideal candidate has an appreciation for art, design, and hospitality; excellent communication skills; strong attention to detail; and the ability to create a welcoming environment for guests and framing shop clients. Key Responsibilities Welcome customers and provide knowledgeable, friendly, and personalized service. Manage the daily operations of the art gallery, custom frame shop, and coffee bar. Oversee operations, including beverage and food service, opening and closing procedures, cleanliness and presentation, customer satisfaction, ordering and stocking, sanitation and food safety, workplace safety, staff scheduling and training, minor frame project completion, and relationship building and maintenance. Oversee gallery displays, artwork installation, merchandising, and seasonal arrangements. Handle customer questions, concerns, and service issues professionally. Monitor sales goals, expenses, labor costs, material usage, product waste, and profitability. Support marketing efforts, including social media, exhibitions, special events, café promotions, newsletters, and community activities. Organize and oversee gallery openings, workshops, private events, and coffee bar or community programming. Ensure proper handling, security, and care of artwork, customer property, equipment, and business assets. Open and close the business as scheduled and follow cash-handling, point-of-sale, and security procedures. Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable business, health, and safety regulations. Qualifications Experience in retail management, gallery operations, custom framing, café or restaurant management, hospitality, or a related field. Experience managing multiple business areas or a combined retail and hospitality environment preferred. Experience with custom framing, art handling, visual merchandising, or design consultation preferred. Coffee bar, food service, beverage preparation, inventory control, or food safety experience preferred. Strong customer service, sales, hospitality, and communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects, customer needs, and deadlines in a busy environment. Comfortable using point-of-sale systems, email, inventory software, social media platforms, and standard office applications. Ability to train staff in customer service, sanitation, and operational standards. Ability to lift and handle artwork, frames, supplies, and café materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to work independently while providing effective leadership to a team. Gallery, retail, framing, hospitality, culinary, or design education is a plus. This position requires availability during regular gallery and coffee bar hours, including weekends and holidays. The schedule is flexible and may vary based on exhibitions, special events, private functions, and business needs. The position may be part or full time, depending upon applicant and business needs.
