Food Truck Cook / Crew Member - Saturdays + Tips Join the Smash Daddy's crew as a Food Truck Cook / Crew Member , working primarily on Saturdays with opportunities to pick up additional private events throughout the year. We're looking for someone dependable, hardworking, and proactive who can become a consistent part of our Saturday crew. This could be a great fit for someone who already works a full-time Monday-Friday job and is looking for a steady Saturday position with opportunities to earn additional income. Food truck service can go from steady to extremely busy very quickly. We need someone who can keep up during a meal rush, work well with a small team, and recognize what needs to be done without constantly being given direction. Grill or restaurant experience is preferred, but everyone on our crew is expected to be interchangeable and willing to work the grill, prep/assembly table, cashier, and other positions as needed. Duties Cook burgers and other menu items on the grill while maintaining quality and consistency Prepare and assemble food orders quickly and accurately according to our menu Work interchangeably between the grill, prep/assembly table, cashier, and other stations as needed Operate our Square POS system and accurately process customer orders and payments Provide friendly and professional customer service Stock ingredients, supplies, and workstations before and during service Recognize when something needs to be stocked, cleaned, prepped, or handled and take care of it without waiting to be asked Maintain a clean and organized food truck throughout the shift Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures Safely operate grills, fryers, and other commercial kitchen equipment Help with opening, closing, setup, cleanup, and other duties as needed Lift and carry up to 50 lbs Experience Previous grill, line cook, restaurant, food truck, or fast-paced food service experience is preferred Experience working through high-volume meal rushes is a plus Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and food quality Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize what needs to be done Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Self-starter who takes initiative instead of waiting to be given the next task Comfortable interacting with customers and processing transactions Dependable, punctual, and able to consistently work Saturdays Willing to learn and work multiple positions rather than remaining at one station Schedule Our primary need is Saturdays . We operate consistently on Saturdays throughout the year, aside from occasional weekends when we are closed for family vacations. We also receive a significant number of requests for weddings, corporate events, parties, and other private events . These events may take place on Sundays or occasionally during the week, providing opportunities for additional hours for employees who are available. We are specifically working to build a dependable crew that will allow us to take on more Sunday and private-event opportunities. This position could be an excellent fit for someone who already has a Monday-Friday job and wants a consistent Saturday side job with the flexibility to pick up additional shifts when available.
