We have a small team of about 8 employees, we are in need of 1-2 new Prep Cook staff to help us around the kitchen. This is for part time/on-call only. We may start you with few shifts a week (5-20 hours/week depending on our needs and your availability) but more hours can be available if you are a good fit. It is a very hard work being in our busy/fast-paced kitchen. Best fit for those who work well under high-pressure and are physically able to keep standing/working for the entire duration of the shift.

• Restaurant Hours: Open 7 days at 2711 E Madison St. Lunch shifts (everyday): 11:30am
• 2:30pm
• Dinner shifts (Sun-Thurs): 4:30pm
• 9pm• Dinner shifts (Fri,Sat): 4:30pm•10pm•Slight variation in shift end times day-to-day•At Azuki, we have two types of staff working during a shift called "Front" and "Middle", in addition to the owner who does the cooking.

1-2 staff during the weekday shifts, 3-4 staff during the weekend shifts. Prep Cook "Middle"

Position Duties:

Preparing vegetables, meats, and sauces before the service Setting up work stations Assisting the chef-owner during the service by prepping ingredients for him quickly as the orders come in Crafting appetizers like salads, sushi rolls, and drinks Washing dishes and cleaning Occasionally helping the Front with taking orders, welcoming customers, putting topping on dishes, serving, bussing

Requirements:

Weekend/holiday availability (we are open 365 days a year) Experience working at Japanese restaurants, or has proficient knowledge about Japanese food, culture or language Able to reliably commute to our restaurant location Can work long-term (6+ months minimum) Ability to work under pressure in a small, fast-paced kitchen Able to keep standing and moving around for the entire duration of the shift Required certifications: MAST Permit within 30 days of hire Washington Food Handlers Certification within 14 days of hire

Pay/Benefits:

Pay is $21.30/hr + tips Tips made during the shift are shared among the employees (both Front and Middle) who worked that shift, and it will be included in your paycheck Our average employees make between $25
