We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team and help us continue to provide memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Job Summary:
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation. This role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for continental cuisine and a strong commitment to food safety and kitchen cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the Head Chef. Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner and meet our quality standards. Assist with the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating. Station Management Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies. Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout service. Monitor food inventory levels and communicate needs to the Kitchen Manager. Cooking and Plating Cook and plate dishes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and bar appetizers with precision and consistency. Follow portion control and presentation guidelines. Team Collaboration Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and smooth service. Communicate effectively with the Head Chef and other team members regarding any issues or special requests. Food Safety and Cleanliness Adhere to all health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen. Perform regular cleaning duties and ensure all equipment is properly maintained.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role. Familiarity with continental cuisine and various cooking techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong understanding of food safety practices. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Valid Washington State Food Workers Card required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods, often for the entire shift. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Capable of performing repetitive motions such as chopping, stirring, and lifting. Comfortable working in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling kitchen equipment and ingredients.
