This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality, consistency, and organization and enjoys working in a collaborative hospitality environment. Our kitchen is an important part of the tasting room experience, with a focused menu designed to complement our wines. The Line Cook will be responsible for executing menu items consistently, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation, and supporting an efficient flow of service. We're looking for someone who is organized, attentive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. A positive attitude, strong communication, and the ability to work closely with both the kitchen and tasting room teams are essential.

On the Royal Slope of Washington state, the Lawrence family farms the vineyards that anchor Gård Estate Wines, crafting every bottle from 100% estate fruit. Gård, meaning "farm," honors our Scandinavian heritage and the family's long farming tradition — one guided by a deep respect for place and a spirit of curiosity and innovation. With full control from vines to glass, our viticulturist and head winemaker, Matías Kúsulas, brings scientific rigor, global experience, and genuine curiosity to every step of the process. Responsibilities Prepare and execute menu items according to established recipes, portions, and presentation standards. Maintain consistency in food quality, preparation, and plating throughout service. Complete daily prep and ensure ingredients and stations are properly stocked and ready for service. Follow food safety, sanitation, labeling, storage, and temperature-control standards at all times. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout each shift. Monitor product quality and communicate low inventory, prep needs, or product concerns to management. Coordinate with the tasting room team to ensure accurate and timely execution of guest orders. Complete opening, closing, cleaning, and assigned kitchen side-work responsibilities. Handle kitchen equipment, tools, and products properly and safely while minimizing waste.

Position Requirements:

Previous experience in a professional kitchen or food preparation environment required. Experience in a high-volume kitchen or hospitality environment preferred. Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently and maintain consistency during busy service periods. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with both kitchen and tasting room teams. Enthusiasm for learning and maintaining Gård's standards through onsite training and mentoring. Current Washington State Food Worker Card, or ability to obtain one upon hire. Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays. Ability to comfortably lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Ability to remain on your feet and work throughout the kitchen for extended periods. Compensation $20

•$26 per hour, based on experience, plus tips.
