In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality ingredients, assisting with meal assembly, and supporting the kitchen's smooth operation. Your culinary skills and attention to safety standards will help create a memorable dining experience for our residents. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your kitchen expertise in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Duties Prepare ingredients and components according to standardized recipes and menu specifications Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning food items using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as ovens, mixers, fryers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards Support the culinary team in plating dishes and assembling meals for service or catering events Follow food handling procedures diligently to ensure safety and quality control throughout food production Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals while adhering to recipe guidelines and portion sizes Skills Experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food industry standards Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and food safety management practices Proficiency in operating various kitchen equipment and tools with precision and care Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and Manager. Demonstrated ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in meal presentation Familiarity with catering processes and menu planning enhances versatility within the role This position is ideal for individuals who will pass the background check and are passionate about culinary arts who thrive in a collaborative environment. Pay:
From $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.5 per week
