Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in preparing quality meals and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food preparation techniques, food safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced environment. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in a collaborative kitchen setting and are eager to contribute to menu planning and meal execution. Duties Assist in the preparation of ingredients for daily menu items, ensuring freshness and quality. Help cook and assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices. Follow food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Participate in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Skills Proficient in food preparation techniques, including chopping, slicing, and cooking methods. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a kitchen environment. Experience in menu planning is a plus but not required. Able to take and understand instructions and restaurant standards. Familiarity with restaurant operations and food service best practices.
