Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic individual to join our team as a . In this vital role, you will be responsible for supporting the dietary department by assisting with meal preparation, food service, and ensuring safety standards are maintained throughout food handling and kitchen operations. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive dining experience for our clients while adhering to all food safety and sanitation protocols. Duties Assist with menu planning and food preparation, ensuring meals are nutritious, appealing, and served on time Prepare ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques to ensure efficiency and safety in the kitchen Support food service operations by serving meals with professionalism and a friendly attitude Follow safety standards in production, including proper food handling, sanitation, and storage procedures Contribute to catering events by preparing and presenting food according to specifications Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety management practices Help monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations Experience Previous experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred Hands-on experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is advantageous Knowledge of food safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation practices Familiarity with meal preparation techniques, including slicing, portioning, and plating Experience in the food industry or culinary settings demonstrating knife skills and cooking techniques Background in catering or food service roles that require serving large groups or managing multiple tasks simultaneously Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments along with excellent attention to detail Join us to be part of a vibrant team where your culinary talents make a meaningful difference! Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
