Job Description

We are looking for great people to add to our meal packaging team immediately! In person interviews. Our ideal candidates are self-driven, ambitious, and reliable. This position is for our weekend production . A typical weekend is 8:45am-5pm on Saturday and 8:45am-4pm on Sunday. Availability for additional hours each Friday as well. We schedule a month at a time so you can plan accordingly. Since we make healthy meals, you won't be frying anything or dealing with customers waiting on an order. We have a culture of people who are very positive and always looking for ways to improve personally and professionally. Culture fit is very important to us. Pay starts at $14-16/hour depending on prior experience and attitude. If you have not previously completed a ServSafe Food Handler Program and test, you will be required to complete this within your first 4 weeks of employment. Upon completion, you will be eligible for an immediate $0.50/hour wage increase. As a Simple Plan (Midwest Meals) employee, you also have a few other great benefits:

RESPONSIBILITIES
: Reports to work well groomed, in a clean and proper uniform, and practices good personal hygiene. We try to make your job as easy as possible
  • > you will follow our processes and recipes that are printed each week on a clipboard for you to check off as you go.
Prepares food for plating in containers. Plates meals in containers according to instruction. Follows proper storage rotation. Follows our sanitization procedures. Uses, maintains, and cleans food preparation surfaces, equipment, and storage areas. Anticipates, identifies and corrects system breakdowns to achieve efficiency. Communicates with the Kitchen Manager and coworkers regarding product/service deficiencies, equipment, safety problems, etc.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have high level of mobility/flexibility. Must be able to work standing for many hours Must be able to communicate with the Kitchen Team. Must lift and carry up to 50 pounds for distances up to 30 feet. Requires frequent reaching, bending, pushing and pulling. Exposure to heat, steam, cold and odors. Repetitive cutting, scooping and slicing motions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Experience cooking food in a commercial setting is a plus, but NOT required. Basic skills can be taught on the job. Skills can be taught, character and attitude can not! We are looking for individuals that fit well within our culture first and foremost. Check us out online at mysimpleplan.com
