Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations Assist in menu planning and food presentation to enhance guest satisfaction Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely meal preparation Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and safety standards in production Support catering events and special meal preparations as needed, ensuring consistency and quality Skills Proven experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or culinary environments with a focus on food preparation and cooking Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient prep Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in meal presentation Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and front-of-house team Experience with dietary department procedures, dietary aide tasks, or menu planning is a plus Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, slicers, and mixers Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Understanding of food industry best practices including catering, serving, and food handling regulations Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
