Job Description
We're hiring COOKS! Moonlight Tavern is hiring cooks a Port Washington's premier supper club focused on great food, great service, and creating special memories for all who walk into our establishment. We feature a wide selection of whiskey, bourbon and scotch. We pride ourselves on delicious original recipes for our craft cocktails and a wide selection of craft beers. The atmosphere! When designing our restaurants, we placed TVs throughout the space so that our guests would have a great view of the game from any and all seats in the house. On the weekend we bring a vibe that people come out to party both during the day and at night. Our event space is great for any party, work meeting, surprise birthday party, wedding rehearsal and much more.
Core Functions:
Accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates. Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment. Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served. Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area. Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes. Handles, stores and rotates all products properly. Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed. Open and close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assist others in opening and closing the kitchen.Pay and Benefits:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking. At least 6 months' experience in a similar capacity. Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel. Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures. Willing and able to assist and support all team members. Serve safe certification as required by state health code. Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift to 40 pounds. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).Pay:
$20.00- $22.
