Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, assisting with menu planning, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Your culinary expertise and passion for food will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, food industry setting while working alongside talented kitchen professionals. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance and suggesting improvements based on kitchen operations Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, slicers, mixers, and other culinary tools Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment by following proper cleaning procedures throughout shifts Ensure food safety standards are upheld by practicing proper food handling, storage, and sanitation protocols Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service Follow recipe adherence meticulously to ensure consistency in taste, portion sizes, and presentation Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or culinary environments is highly preferred Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient preparation Knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus Ability to communicate clearly with kitchen staff and follow instructions precisely Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations is advantageous Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting Join our team to bring your culinary talents to life!
