Job Description
Reports To:
Kitchen Manager / Assistant Kitchen Manager Position Summary Prepares menu items to recipe and presentation standards in a fast-paced tavern kitchen. Key Responsibilities- Prepare hot and cold menu items to standardized recipes, portions, and plating specs.
- Operate grill, fryer, sauté, oven, and other kitchen equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked station throughout each shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and other food management practices.
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff.
- Assist with prep, line setup, and end-of-shift cleaning and breakdown. Qualifications & Requirements
- 2+ years of cooking experience in a restaurant or tavern kitchen preferred.
- Valid food handler / food safety certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
- Working knowledge of standard kitchen equipment and basic cooking techniques.
- Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lb and be on their feet for 8 hours or more per shift.
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
