Job Description
Reports To:
FOH Manager / Assistant General Manager Position Summary First and last impression of the tavern — greets guests, manages the seating flow, and supports a smooth dining room. Key Responsibilities- Greet and seat guests promptly; manage waitlist, reservations, and table-turn flow.
- Answer phones, take to-go orders, and respond to guest inquiries.
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand, menus, and entry areas.
- Communicate with servers and managers to balance station loads.
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them back.
- Assist bussers and servers as needed. Qualifications & Requirements
- Prior host or customer-service experience preferred.
- Friendly, professional, and able to remain calm during peak service.
- Strong verbal communication and basic computer/POS skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lb and be on their feet for 8 hours or more per shift.
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
