Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Working in a community for assisted living, building positive relationships with residents we support, while preparing meals for all to enjoy.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and equipment
- Ensure proper storage of food items in designated areas
- Assist with meal preparation for catering events
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
Experience:
- Previous experience in the food industry or as a cook is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Familiarity with different cooking techniques and methods
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as knives, grills, fryers, etc.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
