Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience in our restaurant. Whether you are preparing ingredients or cooking dishes, your attention to detail and commitment to quality will play a vital role in our success. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in menu planning, ensuring that all dishes meet quality and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all guests. Handle food products safely, including proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Assist with catering events as needed, providing high-quality food service. Participate in inventory management, including ordering supplies and tracking stock levels. Requirements Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or catering environment. Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in food preparation. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Experience in fine dining or dietary aide roles is a plus but not required.
