Evening Cook & Support Associate The Evening Cook is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals during the evening shift while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming kitchen and dining area. During slower periods, this position will assist with general building operations and guest services as needed. The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, team-oriented, and comfortable taking on a variety of responsibilities to support both the kitchen and the overall operation of the building. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Kitchen & Food Service Prepare, cook, and serve evening meals according to established menus and recipes. Ensure food is prepared safely, properly stored, and served at appropriate temperatures. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen, including dishes, counters, equipment, and food storage areas. Monitor food supplies and communicate when inventory needs to be replenished. Follow all applicable food safety and sanitation procedures. Assist with meal planning, food preparation, and kitchen organization as needed. Help ensure guests receive friendly, respectful, and timely meal service. Guest & Building Support When kitchen duties are completed or during slower periods, the Senior Evening Cook will assist with general building operations, which may include: Assisting guests with reasonable requests and providing friendly customer service. Folding, sorting, and organizing laundry. Helping with light housekeeping and maintaining common areas. Restocking supplies throughout the building. Assisting staff with setting up or cleaning areas for activities, meals, or events. Helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests. Providing additional support to other departments or staff members when needed. Performing other reasonable duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous professional cooking or food-service experience preferred. Ability to work independently and stay productive during slower periods. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Friendly, professional, and respectful approach to guest service. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing needs. Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and building procedures. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry food, kitchen supplies, and laundry as reasonably required. Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform routine kitchen and building-support tasks. Work Environment This position works primarily in a commercial kitchen and dining environment but may also work throughout the building when assisting with guest services and general operational needs.
Important:
This is a flexible, hands-on position. The Senior Evening Cook is expected to remain productive throughout the shift and assist with other building and guest-support duties when primary cooking responsibilities are completed.
Pay:
$14.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 35.0 per week
