Flexible availability, including overtime, weekends, and holidays, may be required Start a Career in Automotive Logistics Road & Rail Services is hiring dependable Vehicle Shuttlers to help move new vehicles safely and efficiently throughout a customer's property. This is an active, outdoor position that is well suited for someone who enjoys driving, working independently, and being part of a team. Before moving each vehicle, you will complete a full visual inspection to identify and report any existing damage. Once the vehicle has been cleared for movement, you will drive it along an assigned route to the correct parking or staging area in preparation for shipment. Road & Rail Services has provided specialized rail and logistics services throughout North America since 1987. Our employees support plant operations, terminals, railroads, rail shippers, and equipment owners while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and dependable service. What You Will Do Perform a complete exterior inspection of every vehicle before entering or moving it Report any damage or condition that may prevent the vehicle from being moved safely Drive vehicles throughout the customer's property using designated routes Park vehicles accurately in assigned parking bays or staging locations Follow all company, customer, and industry safety requirements Complete vehicle inventory and tracking activities as assigned Operate both automatic and manual-transmission vehicles when required Assist with tag-and-rinse or vehicle-wash operations at applicable locations Maintain clean and orderly work areas Perform additional housekeeping or operational duties assigned by site management Maintain dependable attendance and report to work on time Work overtime, weekends, or holidays when needed to meet operational and shipping demands What We Are Looking For A safety-conscious and dependable work ethic Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to inspect vehicles carefully and recognize visible damage Ability to safely drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions Valid state-issued driver's license when required to operate company or customer equipment Willingness to work outdoors throughout the scheduled shift Ability to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs Consistent and acceptable attendance Work Environment and Physical Requirements This position is performed primarily outdoors in changing weather conditions. Employees may be exposed to heat, cold, rain, dust, noise, water vapor, and condensation. Vehicle Shuttlers must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. The job also involves frequent bending, kneeling, twisting, and entering and exiting vehicles and shuttle vans throughout the shift. Employees must be able to wear all assigned personal protective equipment correctly.
