Automotive Detailer
Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable, motivated Auto Body Detailer to join our fast-moving, high-volume collision repair team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and takes pride in delivering clean, properly finished vehicles while helping keep shop production moving smoothly. Our shop has a strong reputation for high-quality repairs, and we're looking for someone who takes ownership of their role, works with urgency, and understands that detailing and lot organization are critical to the customer experience. This is a hands-on role in a busy shop with consistent workflow. The right person will have the opportunity to grow, develop additional skills (buffing, paint correction, denib & polish), and earn higher pay based on performance. Responsibilities Thoroughly wash, clean, and prepare vehicles for delivery Use production board to track vehicles entering detail Ensure vehicles are cleaned promptly and not left sitting Perform final wipe-downs prior to customer pickup if needed Organize and manage lot flow (small lot
•must move vehicles efficiently) Move vehicles for technicians to support production Keep front parking clear for customers Reset and organize lot at the end of each day Maintain a clean and organized work area Assist with overall shop cleanliness and trash removal Perform buffing, polishing, denibbing, and overspray removal (if experienced) Support painters and technicians as needed to keep repairs moving Experience Previous detailing experience preferred (collision shop experience is a plus) Ability to safely move and park vehicles in tight spaces Valid driver's license required Must be dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment We are willing to train the right candidate with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
