Job Overview Are you driven, energetic, and passionate about cars? Hyundai and Genesis of New Bern is seeking a dedicated Automotive Detail & Reconditioning Specialist to join our fast-paced fixed operations team. In this role, you will be the final line of excellence before a vehicle hits the front line or is delivered to a guest. Key Responsibilities Vehicle Reconditioning:
Perform full interior and exterior details—including hand washing, buffing, polishing, waxing, shampooing, vacuuming, and odor removal—on pre-owned inventory, new arrivals, and service department guest vehicles.
Workflow Execution:
Maintain high turnaround velocity to meet our target 72-hour lot-readiness timeline for all pre-owned intake units.
Pre-Delivery Inspection:
Inspect finished vehicles meticulously to ensure every vehicle meets top-tier luxury and franchise dealership presentation standards.
Lot & Inventory Support:
Assist with lot staging, fuel top-offs, vehicle movement, and new vehicle check-ins as required.
Facility Standards:
Maintain clean, safe, and organized detail bays, equipment, and chemical supply inventories.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
1+ years of automotive detailing, wash bay, or recon experience preferred (we are willing to train candidates with the right attitude and strong work ethic).
Licensing:
Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record (required).
Work Ethic:
Strong time-management skills and the ability to work productively in a high-volume, deadline-oriented setting.
Physical Capability:
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform physical detailing work outdoors and in bay environments throughout an 8-hour shift.

Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
