Job Description
Job description The Service Worker's primary duties include interior and exterior cleaning of transit vehicles; interior cleaning of transit facilities; light maintenance; inspecting and maintaining equipment; and exterior grounds upkeep. Requirements
- Participation in Geauga Transit's random drug and alcohol testing is a condition of hire and a requirement of employment.
- This position is classified as safety sensitive and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing throughout the course of employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of janitorial or custodial maintenance experience required.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors.
- Use of PPE to work safely around electricity, power tools, machinery, cleaning fluids, and paints.
- Use of methods, materials and tools related to cleaning and maintaining vehicles and facilities.
- Procedures for safely fueling vehicles.
- Minimum 21 years of age with clear driving record; valid Ohio driver's license.
- Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, able to work independently and able to see projects through to completion in a timely manner while working unsupervised.
- Must pass DOT physical upon hire and throughout course of employment.
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds. Benefits
