Broken Arrow, OK Job Details Full-time $17 - $19 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Outdoor work experience Company vehicle operation Full Job Description Alpha Paint & Body is looking for a Painter's Assistant to join our team! This position plays an important role in supporting our Paint Department by assisting with vehicle preparation, maintaining equipment and supplies, and ensuring quality workmanship throughout the reconditioning process. Compensation:
$17-19/hour based on experience Job Responsibilities Assist the Painter with daily operations and vehicle preparation. Wash, clean, sand, tape, mask, and prepare vehicles for paint. Move vehicles between the paint area, service department, and dealership lot. Restock paint trailer supplies and notify management when inventory is running low. Support the Sales and Service Departments by assisting with paint corrections and touch-ups. Clean and maintain paint equipment, tools, and work areas daily. Remove trash and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Communicate daily with the Inventory Team regarding vehicle reconditioning priorities. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous automotive, body shop, or paint preparation experience is preferred but not required. Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Dependable, punctual, and eager to learn. Ability to follow directions and work efficiently in a team environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to learn automotive paint preparation techniques. Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors for the duration of each shift in varying weather conditions. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate and move vehicles throughout the dealership. Frequent use of hand tools, sanding equipment, and other paint preparation tools. Exposure to automotive paints, solvents, cleaning chemicals, dust, and shop equipment. Schedule typically begins no later than 8:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts. Earlier summer start times (approximately 5:30 a.m. ) and adjusted winter schedules may be required based on weather and production needs. Alpha Paint & Body is an Equal Opportunity Employer
