Job Description

If you're into German cars, Autohaus Lancaster has one for you! As representatives of one of the world's largest German automaker, we stock everything from the most practical and popular Volkswagens, to the most luxurious and tech-savvy Audi models, and the sportiest and most powerful Porsche's on the market. We deal in factory-certified pre-owned autos as well, and also maintain a large inventory of other domestic and imported cars, trucks, and SUV's, and we are looking for you! Autohaus Lancaster is looking to add an automotive detailer to our recondition department. Although experience is certainly valuable, we are willing to train! As an automotive detailer your job responsibilities include but is not limited to:
  • Wash vehicles using automated car wash and hand washing techniques
  • Prepping and cleaning of sold vehicles to be delivered
  • Prepping and cleaning rental cars to be loaned out the next day
  • Buff the vehicle using cloth or machine polisher (dual action and rotary polisher)
  • Prepping and cleaning of vehicles for the sales lot
  • General shop duties (cleaning, dusting etc.)
  • Various other tasks as requested and needed Our ideal candidate will be able to:
  • Work as a team player and independently. Utilization of each employee is based upon the needs of the work for the day, you may need to buddy up with someone and will often be working independently
  • Make good use of time to get work done productively while continuing to meet expectations of the customer independently efficiently and methodically as well as work as a team member
  • Be willing to learn different methods and techniques
  • Show up on time for each shift every day
  • Work weekends when requested
  • Understand and meet the customers expectations with the cleanliness of the vehicle
  • Operating a manual transmission vehicle is a plus, not a requirement
