Join CarMax, the nation's largest retailer of used vehicles, as an Automotive Detailer and play a pivotal role in our mission to provide our customers with an honest and straightforward car buying and selling experience. Our Automotive Detailers are responsible for thoroughly cleaning vehicles and ensuring they meet CarMax's high standards of presentation before they are displayed on our lot. This hands-on role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and a passion for cars. Responsibilities Thoroughly wash, wax, and detail the interior and exterior of vehicles to prepare them for sale. Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and quality, completing detailed checklists. Use various cleaning and detailing tools such as buffers, vacuums, and pressure washers. Apply wax, sealant, and other protective agents to vehicles. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and report needs to supervisors. Adhere to safety and environmental policies and procedures. Required Skills Proficiency with detailing equipment including buffers, steamers, hoses, and vacuums. Strong attention to detail. Ability to follow guidelines and checklists. Good physical stamina and dexterity.
