Shop Hours:
8:30 AM-6:30 PM, 6 days per week Job Overview We are a busy, established automotive detailing shop looking for dependable, hardworking Automotive Detailers / Car Cleaners to join our team. Our shop handles approximately 250-300 vehicles per month , so we stay busy and need people who can work efficiently, follow instructions, maintain high quality standards, and work well as part of a team. This is a hands-on, physically active position. You will clean and detail vehicle interiors and exteriors throughout your shift. We are interested in both experienced automotive detailers and motivated candidates who are willing to learn . Starting pay will depend on experience and ability. Higher rates are available for experienced detailers who can consistently produce quality work efficiently and with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Wash and dry vehicle exteriors. Vacuum vehicle interiors, carpets, seats, trunks, and cargo areas. Clean dashboards, consoles, door panels, cup holders, vents, and interior surfaces. Clean windows and mirrors inside and outside. Clean wheels, tires, wheel wells, and exterior trim. Clean door jambs and commonly missed areas. Shampoo and extract carpets and upholstery when required. Perform interior deep cleaning. Remove stains, dirt, pet hair, debris, and other contamination. Apply interior and exterior detailing products correctly. Perform final wipe-downs and finishing touches. Prepare completed vehicles for customer pickup. Safely move vehicles around the shop and parking areas when authorized. Use vacuums, extractors, pressure washers, steamers, polishers, and other detailing equipment as trained. Properly use and handle detailing chemicals and cleaning products. Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized. Follow the work instructions for each vehicle and make sure requested services are completed. Work with other team members to complete vehicles on time. Jump in and help coworkers when necessary to keep vehicles moving. Quality & Productivity We are a high-volume detail shop , so both speed and quality are important. We expect our detailers to work efficiently without cutting corners.
You must be willing to:
Pay attention to small details. Check your own work before considering a vehicle finished. Correct missed areas when they are identified. Follow our procedures and quality standards. Work with urgency when vehicles have promised completion times. Stay productive throughout the workday. Help other team members when the shop is busy. Take care of customer vehicles, tools, equipment, and shop property. Accept feedback and make corrections when necessary. We are looking for people who take pride in sending out a clean, properly finished vehicle. What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual. Strong work ethic. Good attention to detail. Comfortable performing physical work throughout the day. Able to bend, reach, kneel, stand, and work inside and around vehicles. Comfortable working around water, cleaning chemicals, vacuums, pressure washers, and detailing equipment. Willing to work additional hours when the shop is busy. Professional attitude and respect for customers' vehicles. Previous automotive detailing, car wash, dealership, reconditioning, cleaning, or other hands-on experience is a plus. Automotive detailing experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. Training is available. Experienced Detailers Higher starting pay is available for experienced detailers with demonstrated skills in areas such as: Interior deep cleaning. Carpet and upholstery extraction. Pet hair removal. Stain removal. Paint decontamination. Clay bar treatment. Machine polishing. Wax and sealant application. Headlight restoration. Other professional detailing services. Experienced applicants should be able to work independently, recognize quality issues, and consistently complete vehicles efficiently while meeting our standards.
Pay & Schedule Pay:
$22.00-$32.00 per hour, depending on experience, skill level, and productivity. Starting pay will be based on your experience and demonstrated ability. The higher end of the pay range is intended for experienced detailers who can consistently produce high-quality work efficiently and with minimal supervision. This is a full-time, hourly position with overtime opportunities available depending on workload and business needs. Our shop is open 6 days per week from 8:30 AM-6:30 PM . The work schedule may vary based on shop volume. Saturday availability is required. Because our customers depend on us to have vehicles completed on time, attendance, punctuality, and reliability are extremely important. Work Environment This is an active automotive shop environment. Employees should expect to be on their feet for much of the day and perform physical work inside and around vehicles. The work can be physically demanding, especially during busy periods. We provide the equipment and products necessary to perform the work. Employees are expected to use equipment properly, keep their work areas organized, and treat every customer vehicle with care. Why Work With Us? $22-$32/hour based on experience and ability.
