Maintain high standards of sanitation by regularly cleaning kitchen surfaces, sinks, and storage areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Bypass or handle manual dishwashing tasks for items not suitable for machine cleaning while adhering to proper food handling protocols. Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and ensuring dining areas are tidy and ready for guests. Follow all kitchen health and safety standards during heavy lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injuries. Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers, sinks, and cleaning tools. Qualifications Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is highly valued. Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices in a commercial kitchen environment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with care. Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards including proper knife skills and food handling procedures. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting culinary operations such as catering or banquet services. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
