Duties Operate dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean all cookware, utensils, dishes, and kitchen tools following food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients in accordance with food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas through regular cleaning and sanitation practices. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, or food processors with proper training to ensure safety and efficiency. Follow strict food safety management protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Support the team during busy service periods by providing quick turnaround on dishwashing and food prep tasks to maintain smooth operations. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or catering environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key! Knowledge of food handling, sanitation procedures, and kitchen safety standards is highly desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods. Basic knife skills for food prep tasks are a plus; training can be provided for those eager to develop their culinary skills. Familiarity with operating commercial dishwashing machines and kitchen equipment is beneficial. Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health regulations is essential.
