In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment by ensuring all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Your energetic approach will help support our food service operations, enabling smooth meal preparation and service. Duties Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools promptly and efficiently. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or portioning ingredients when needed. Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware and equipment are spotless and ready for use. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area by regularly cleaning sinks, dishwashers, counters, and floors. Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety standards are met at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean items for food service operations. Adhere to health and safety regulations to promote a safe working environment for all team members. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, catering, or food service setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is valued. Familiarity with food handling procedures and sanitation standards is advantageous. Experience with bussing tables or assisting in food preparation can be beneficial in supporting overall kitchen operations. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items or moving carts comfortably. Basic understanding of kitchen safety practices and cleanliness standards is desirable but training will be provided.
