Duties Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using proper cleaning techniques and equipment. Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping or ingredient handling under supervision. Support the bussing team by clearing tables, removing trash, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas. Operate kitchen equipment safely, such as dishwashers, sinks, and other sanitation tools. Handle manual lifting of heavy items like boxes of supplies or large cookware while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with kitchen health and safety standards to promote a safe working environment. Experience Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with food handling procedures and basic kitchen operations is advantageous. Knowledge of sanitation practices and food safety management helps ensure compliance with health regulations. Experience with banquet or catering environments can be beneficial in managing high-volume dishwashing needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic knife skills or cooking experience are a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is appreciated!
