Dishwashers are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitization of all dishes, glassware, tableware, pots and pans, and cooking utensils. They also ensure the dishwashing area is maintained, clean, safe and sanitary.
Job Duties Cleans and sanitizes all dishes, flatware, glassware, and kitchen pots, pans and utensils (Essential) Sorts and stacks clean dishes; carries clean dishes to cooking area or other proper storage area (Essential) Operates dish washing machines safely and according to manufacturer specifications (Essential) Utilizes proper measurements of detergent and sanitizer chemical amounts in dish machines Handles tableware and glassware carefully to prevent breakage and loss Empties kitchen trash on a regular basis Maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen and dish areas including sweeping floors and clearing dirty dishes from cooking area Performs shift opening and closing duties including cleaning kitchen mats, sweeping, and mopping kitchen and dishwashing areas Assists with food preparation work as needed Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures Other duties as assigned Requirements High School Diploma or GED (Preferred) Some High School Education (Required) 6 months in Previous restaurant or customer service experience (Preferred) Ability to work under minimal supervision Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs Strong communication skills Strong customer service skills Must be able to pass the Safe Food Handler Certificate Program within 60 days from date of hire
