French restaurant looking for a reliable dishwasher who understands one of the fundamental truths of restaurant life: the place doesn't run without you. This is a two-day-a-week position.
TUESDAYS
—
DEEP CLEANING
No dinner service. This is the day we attack the stuff that gets abused all week: kitchen equipment, floors, walls, shelving, coolers, vents, corners, and all the places grease somehow manages to find. We're not looking for someone to casually wipe things down. We want someone who can see dirt without being shown where it is.
WEDNESDAYS
—
DINING ROOM + DISH PIT
Before service, you'll clean the dining room floors and bathrooms and help get the restaurant ready for guests. Once dinner service starts, you move to the dish pit. And then the fun begins. Plates come back. Pans appear from nowhere. The cooks swear they only used three sauté pans. Somehow there are twenty-seven. Your job is to keep the machine moving.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Someone dependable. Someone who works hard without needing to be chased around. Someone who takes pride in leaving a kitchen cleaner than they found it. Restaurant experience is helpful, but attitude and reliability matter more. It's hot. It's wet. It's physical. Sometimes it's messy. It's also an important job in a small professional kitchen, and we treat it that way.
