The dish washer will clean and sanitize dishes, equipment, help with general cleaning and food prep as needed for the restaurant. This role is essential in supporting our kitchen operations. Essential Job Duties Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning/sanitizing, basic janitorial duties. Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and guidelines. Follow all food handling and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. ___________________________________________________________________ Qualifications At least 18 years of age Mobility/physical stamina (walking, standing, stooping, bending, reaching, etc.) required during the entire shift. Ability to pick up and carry plates, drinks, glassware, boxes, trash bags, etc. Verbal communication skills required. Lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This is a non-exempt position that reports directly to the Restaurant Managers. Essential Job Functions Regular attendance and compliance with employee handbook and training manuals Interact with co-workers in a friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner (i.e., a warm smile and sincere greeting) Wash all dish ware for the entire restaurant (kitchen, dining, bar, etc.) Handle all glassware, plateware, silverware, and all equipment with care. Thoroughly clean and properly sanitize all dishes. Place and pick up cases of food, pots & pans, dishes, prepped food, cases of relevant delivery items, other misc. items on high and low shelves. Operate kitchen equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Practice proper food safety and food handling measures at all times. Maintain safe & sanitary prep and work areas. Clean and organize walk-in, dry storage and freezer on a regular basis. Label, date and rotate all prepped items in accordance with Shelf Life specifications. Organize and put away daily deliveries in proper storage areas. Clean and organize restaurant as directed by Management as per daily, weekly, and extra cleaning schedules and in accordance with local and state laws. All Kitchen Team will assist with basic prep, cleaning, sanitation, basic janitorial, and other kitchen related tasks as needed.
