Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Busser, where your energy and attention to detail will help create a seamless dining experience for our guests. In this vital role, you'll ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, dishes, and dining areas while supporting the front-of-house team with efficient bussing and table clearing. Your proactive approach will contribute to maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming environment that upholds the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities Thoroughly wash, sanitize, and dry dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures. Clear tables promptly and efficiently, removing used dishes, glassware, and silverware to maintain a clean dining area. Support bussing duties by resetting tables quickly to ensure readiness for incoming guests. Follow proper manual handling techniques when lifting heavy pots, trays, or stacks of dishes to prevent injury. Operate basic kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and cleaning tools in accordance with safety standards. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and dining areas by adhering to sanitation protocols and restaurant health standards. Assist with food safety management practices by ensuring proper storage of dishes and cleaning supplies. Support the team during busy service periods by providing quick turnaround on dishwashing and table clearing tasks. Experience Previous food service experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is highly valued. Familiarity with food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and kitchen safety protocols is a plus. Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment helps in understanding fast-paced service demands. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling bulky or heavy items such as trays or large pots. Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation is advantageous but not mandatory.
