This position is a combination of kitchen support, cleaning and preparation, and lunch supervision for our middle school and high school students. Because lunch schedules vary throughout the school week, the specific timing of kitchen duties, lunch supervision, and break periods will vary by day. However, the employee's workday will generally be 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in both a kitchen environment and a school setting and will demonstrate professionalism, patience, good judgment, and the ability to interact appropriately with middle and high school students. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Kitchen Support & Cleaning Clock in at approximately 11:00 AM and report to the kitchen. Assist with kitchen preparation and cleaning duties. Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, work surfaces, equipment, and other designated areas. Assist with preparation and organization for student lunch service. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe kitchen and lunch environment. Assist kitchen staff with additional duties as assigned. Follow school and kitchen safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures. Student Lunch Supervision Assist with supervision of middle school students during their designated lunch period. Assist with supervision of high school students during their designated lunch period. Monitor student behavior and help maintain a safe, respectful, and orderly lunch environment. Enforce Stone Ridge Christian School rules and expectations consistently and appropriately. Engage positively and respectfully with middle and high school students. Address minor student conflicts calmly and professionally. Redirect inappropriate behavior and communicate concerns to the appropriate school personnel when necessary.

Requirements / Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience working with children or adolescents preferred. Previous kitchen, food-service, custodial, or school experience is a plus. Ability to work effectively with middle and high school students. Ability to appropriately engage with, supervise, redirect, and correct students. Ability to enforce school rules and expectations consistently and fairly. Ability to manage minor student conflicts calmly and professionally. Demonstrated maturity, reliability, patience, and good judgment. Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries with students. Ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with students and staff. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Ability to perform routine cleaning and kitchen-related duties. Must be dependable and punctual. Must be able to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Must successfully complete all school-required employment screenings and training.
