Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Dishwasher/Food Prep team member to join our vibrant culinary environment. In this role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient workspace while assisting with food preparation. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help us deliver exceptional dining experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards within a dynamic team. Duties Operate dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools following food safety sanitizing procedures Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients in accordance with food safety management standards Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces regularly Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and ensuring dining areas are tidy and welcoming Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and equipment safely and efficiently Follow all kitchen health and safety standards to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment Assist with food handling procedures during busy service times, supporting the culinary team as needed Skills Strong understanding of food safety practices and sanitation procedures Experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively Excellent manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items regularly Knowledge of knife skills for basic food prep tasks Familiarity with kitchen health and safety standards and sanitation protocols Previous banquet or catering experience is a plus but not required Good communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to excellence in every dish served!
