Job Description
Part Time & Full Time Positions Available Behind every great meal on the mountain is a great kitchen team - and that starts with you. Sugar Bowl Resort is looking for hardworking, reliable Dishwashers to keep our kitchens running smoothly all season long. This role is the backbone of our Food & Beverage operation: you'll keep the kitchen clean, the equipment sanitized, and the team moving - all while being a key part of one of the most energetic environments on the mountain. Sugar Bowl Resort has been proudly independent for over 80 years and is one of the oldest ski resorts in California. Situated atop beautiful Donner Summit, Sugar Bowl has a storied past with ties to Austrian ski culture, Hollywood and Walt Disney. This special community helped bring skiing to "sunny California" since December 1939. Since then, it continues to attract adventurous winter sports enthusiasts alike.
Who You Are:
Prior experience in a professional food production or kitchen environment as a dishwasher or in a similar support role - preferred Knowledge of approved sanitation methods and a commitment to maintaining a clean workspace at all times Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in doing the job right every shift Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and comply with all health and safety standards Must be at least 16 years of age What You'll do: Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils using approved sanitation methods and industrial dishwashing equipment Return all cleaned items to their proper storage location promptly and accurately Complete routine daily and weekly deep cleaning of kitchen equipment and work areas Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment throughout the entire shift Assist the dining area with general cleaning and table service clean-up as needed Work cooperatively with the main kitchen and food service staff to support a smooth and efficient operation Make timely decisions to ensure compliance with performance and sanitation standards Perform other duties as assigned by theKitchen Supervisor or Food & Beverage Manager Physical Requirements:
Stands continuously in a kitchen environment for the majority of the shift Frequently kneels, stoops, and bends when cleaning equipment and work areas Regularly lifts, carries, and moves items weighing up to 50 pounds Works in a warm, wet, and fast-paced kitchen environment for extended periods Handles hot items and cleaning chemicals safely, using appropriate protective equipmentWinter Benefits:
