Responsibilities Thoroughly wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures Assist with bussing tables by clearing plates, glasses, and silverware promptly and efficiently Maintain cleanliness of all dining and kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces regularly Support food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and handling basic food items with proper food handling practices Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly, including dishwashers, sinks, and other small appliances Follow all food safety management protocols to ensure sanitation standards are consistently met Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies or equipment with proper technique to prevent injury Skills Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards within a restaurant environment Experience in food service or restaurant settings, with an understanding of kitchen health and safety standards Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and basic utensils Strong organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness and order in busy dining areas Excellent teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with culinary staff and front-of-house team members Basic knife skills or experience with food preparation is a plus but not required This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
