ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY SUMMARY

The Part-Time Dish Lead supports daily dish room operations at CenterPointe Dining by helping lead the dish team, coordinating work during meal service, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work area. This position provides hands-on direction to team members while supporting the proper operation of the dish machine and related equipment.

SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO

(this is just a small sampling of work variety): Help organize and lead dish room employees during meal service, including assigning tasks and helping the team prioritize work during busy periods.

Support the safe and proper operation of the dish machine, including checking required temperatures, using test strips as directed, and reporting equipment problems promptly.

Train and coach team members on dish room procedures, food safety, chemical safety, personal protective equipment, and proper use of non-slip footwear.

Monitor the dish room for cleanliness, sanitation, and safe work practices, including keeping floors, sinks, work surfaces, racks, and waste areas orderly.

Assist with scraping, sorting, loading, unloading, and storing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, trays, and other food-service equipment.

Communicate supply needs, safety concerns, staffing issues, and operational problems to the supervisor and help the shift finish with the dish room clean and ready for the next service.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in a dish room, kitchen, food-service, custodial, or similar fast-paced work environment is preferred.

Ability to work cooperatively with a diverse team and provide respectful direction and support to fellow employees.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, safety procedures, food-safety practices, and chemical-label directions.

Ability to remain organized and calm while working in a busy, wet, and physically demanding environment.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and move dishware and equipment throughout a shift, with reasonable accommodation as needed.

Must be dependable, punctual, willing to ask questions, and able to communicate concerns promptly.
