Sunday Dishwasher / Kitchen Utility Assistant Pappert's Kitchen Co. is looking for a reliable and hardworking dishwasher to support our weekly Sunday meal prep operation. This is a part-time, Sunday-only position in a fast-paced commercial kitchen. The ideal candidate is dependable, efficient, organized, and willing to help keep the kitchen clean and running smoothly throughout production.
Schedule Sundays:
Approximately 3 PM - 5:00/6:30 PM Hours may vary slightly depending on the weekly production schedule. We are seeking a dedicated Small Business Dish Washer to join our team for Sunday afternoon shifts from 3 to 6 pm. This vital role ensures the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, dishes, and utensils, maintaining a safe and efficient food service environment. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will support food preparation and kitchen operations by executing thorough dishwashing, sanitizing, and cleaning procedures. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety will help uphold our high standards of sanitation and hygiene. Responsibilities Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures. Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all surfaces are sanitized regularly. Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff. Properly handle manual tasks such as loading and unloading dishwashers and moving heavy items safely. Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas are clean and organized. Follow all sanitation protocols to uphold kitchen health and safety standards. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including commercial dishwashers and related tools. Requirements Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of food safety management, sanitation practices, and kitchen health standards. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of dishes and supplies. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as commercial dishwashers. Strong attention to detail in cleaning and sanitation procedures. Help with end-of-day kitchen cleaning and breakdown Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within the scheduled shift. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn about food handling, catering, or hospitality operations is a plus. Pay:
