Chocolate Manufacturing Location:
Torrance, CA Schedule:
3rd shift 9:30pm - 6:00am must be (flexible) can switch to 1stPay:
$18.00 (DOE)Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the washing and sanitizing of machinery, utensils, pots and equipment used to produce food products as well as the offices, bathrooms, cafeteria, and all other areas throughout and surrounding the facilities in accordance with established Safety, Quality, Food Safety (SQF), and Food Defense standards.Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure safe operations by adherence to environmental, health and safety program and procedures. Ensures that Good Sanitation Procedures, Good Manufacturing Procedures and Good Housekeeping procedures are maintain ed. Direct, delegate, and assign tasks to Sanitation Operators. Cleans all equipment needed to run production operations. Cleans facilities in production and office areas including offices, bathrooms, eating areas, floors, etc. Operate machines needed to clean equipment and facilities. Mixes cleaning solutions accordingly with Chemical supplier recommendations. Maintain inventory control of cleaning utensils and chemical supplies. Follow the Master Sanitation Schedule. Ability to communicate Food Safety, Production and Quality Issues. Other duties as assigned by the QA or production Department.Food Safety and Quality Requirements/Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation of Food Safety and Quality Assurance System. Assure GMP's are followed.Organizational Relationships:
Position reports to Sanitation Lead Back up: Quality Assurance Department.Qualifications:
- High school diploma or high school equivalency (HSE) and/or minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training.
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
- Cooperative spirit in working with peers, supervisors, clients, and guests.
- Ability to demonstrate safe working habits.
- Demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Understand and follow detailed oral and written work instructions.
- Ability to distinguish colors and smells.
- Ability to follow all company policies and procedures.
- Requires standing and walking for long periods of time.
- Lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and push/pull up to 25 lbs. throughout shift.
- Ability to bend, twist and kneel, climb ladders and stairs, and crawl onto machinery and equipment.
- Ability to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours as required.
