Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized environment by expertly handling dishwashing duties, supporting food preparation, and assisting with kitchen cleanliness. Your dedication ensures that our culinary operations meet the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and hospitality excellence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational kitchen skills while contributing to a vibrant dining experience. Responsibilities Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as ingredient prep and station setup to support chefs and kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, sinks, and storage areas by following sanitation protocols and health standards. Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and ensuring dining areas are tidy and welcoming for guests. Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, pans, boxes, and supplies safely while adhering to proper handling techniques. Follow all kitchen health and safety standards diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Assist in operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, or food processors when trained to do so. Support catering or banquet setups by transporting dishes and maintaining cleanliness during events. Contribute to a team-oriented environment by communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors. Qualifications Previous food service experience or familiarity with restaurant operations is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential. Knowledge of food safety management principles and sanitation practices is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently throughout shifts. Basic knife skills or familiarity with culinary tools can be an advantage but are not mandatory; training will be provided if needed. Excellent attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards across the kitchen environment. Strong work ethic with the ability to work quickly in a fast-paced setting while adhering to health regulations. Prior experience in hospitality or catering environments is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for supporting culinary teams is key.
