Job Description
Primi Pasta & Wine Bar is an "elevated fast casual" restaurant in Durango, CO. Our focus is on regional Italian first courses hand made with seasonal, local ingredients paired with Italian wines, craft cocktails and local craft beer. We are a 100% from-scratch kitchen and make all of our pasta, sauces, dressings, and desserts in house. We pride ourselves on having a work environment that is team oriented where all employees receive an equal share of tips based on hours worked. We are looking for a professional dishwasher to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and have the ability to work quickly and keep a cool head in a demanding, fast-paced environment They will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all dishes and utensils necessary for food preparation. Work-life balance is a very important aspect of the culture at Primi and this position is 4-5 days per week (6 hour shifts, 10am-4pm or 4pm-10pm) to allow ample time to enjoy everything that Durango has to offer. Prior restaurant experience is preferred, but most important is a strong work ethic and ability to quickly learn new tasks and perform in a demanding, fast-paced environment. Job Description The dishwasher's role is focused on cleaning all dishes and prep equipment throughout their shift. The morning shift will be assigned a list of prep and cleaning projects to be completed throughout the shift when all dishes are caught up. Responsibilities Arrive on time with a kept appearance in appropriate uniform, hair is tied back/secured and be sure to wear an apron Washing, sanitizing and drying all dishes that are brought back into the dish area from the dining service room and the kitchen Completing prep tasks as assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef Maintaining a clean work area Keeping dirty dish shelves clear for incoming dishes Putting away clean dishes from top 2 shelf once they are dry Keeping 3 compartment sink clean and free of debris Left soaking sink should be drained, cleaned and refilled throughout the shift as the water gets dirty Keep chemical shelf organized Keep pan shelves organized by pan size Keep floor drain clear of debris Keep dish machine drain screen clear of debris Delime the dish machine as needed (twice per week minimum) Take out trash and recycling throughout the shift as needed Clean the dish area (see closing list) at the end of the shift Knowledge of menu plus recipes and methods of preparation for all items in your station Ex- Meatballs, shaved brussels sprouts, bolo knife, etc Other tasks as assigned by a member of the management team
