Job Description

The Sonnenalp is accepting applications for Seasonal Stewards under the H-2B Temporary Non-Agricultural Worker Program. Qualified U.S. workers are encouraged to apply.
Wage:
$20.00/hour, plus a culinary appreciation fee Primary Purpose of Position To represent the highest standard of excellence in kitchen cleanliness and organization. Act as a lead in the stewarding department, training and coaching other stewards to high levels of performance. Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organized at all times. The Kitchen Steward will maintain a proper level of clean inventory with a high standard of cleanliness according to the sanitation code. The Kitchen Steward, upon demonstrated job performance excellence, will be considered for numerous growth opportunities within the culinary field. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain cleaning supply inventory Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working order Wash and dry dishes, pots, pans, cooking utensils Check all chemical levels and inventory Dispose of trash & waste in the proper areas Ensure kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils Prep food as needed and under the direction of the Sous Chef Maintain a clean and organized work area Clean, sanitize and prepare work station for next shift Control damage and breakage of all equipment Other duties as assigned Special Skills/Equipment Able to work days, evenings, and/or weekends Spanish language helpful but not required Organized, accurate, and reliable Ability to multi-task efficiently Ability to work under minimal supervision Positive attitude and demeanor Essential Physical Requirements Bend and stretch frequently Fast paced environment Lift, balance and carry trays up to 30 lbs Perform all duties in a somewhat hot and humid environment Stand, walk and remain on feet and perform job duties for entire shift Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Resort Discounts Holiday Pay, Paid Time Off and Sick Pay 401(k) Retirement Plan & Roth 401(k) Voluntary Life Insurance Short Term & Long Term Disability Employee Assistance Program Parking Credit or Discounted Bus Passes This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the position and it is not intended to be an exhaustive list of skills, efforts, duties, responsibilities or working conditions associated with the position.
