Job Description

Porter (Dishwasher) — David Burke Prime, Foxwoods Resort Casino Porters keep the whole restaurant running: clean plates, clean glassware, clean floors, and a kitchen ready for the next service. This is a hands-on, essential role with room to grow into prep and line positions. David Burke Prime is a classic American steakhouse at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. We are staffing the reopening of our dining room, bar, and kitchen.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Operate the dish machine; wash, sanitize, and restock china, glassware, silverware, and cookware Hand-wash pots, pans, and kitchen equipment; keep the dish pit organized and drained Break down and remove trash, cardboard, and recycling; keep dumpster and loading areas clean Sweep, mop, and deep-clean kitchen floors, mats, walls, drains, and equipment on schedule Restock the line and service stations with clean wares during service Assist with receiving deliveries, putting away product, and basic prep as directed by the chef

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

No experience required; we will train. Prior dishwashing or kitchen experience is a plus Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, and willingness to take direction Able to stand for full shifts, work in a hot and wet environment, and lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working around cleaning chemicals with proper safety procedures Reliable and punctual; evening and weekend availability required, and holidays are required for all positions

SCHEDULE & PAY

Full-time Evenings, weekends & holidays required From $16.94 / hr (CT minimum wage), based on experience
